Captured On Camera: Quick Takes of Historic Miami-Dade

A Miami Pioneers and Natives of Dade historical Society program on the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives. Presented by Archives Director Rene Ramos and Public Programs Coordinator Kevin Wynn.

Captured On Camera - Quick Takes of Historic Miami-Dade
From the sands of Miami Beach to the wetlands of the Everglades, from farmer’s fields in South Dade to millionaire’s mansions in Coral Gables, film and video cameras, wielded by TV reporters and vacationing amateurs, have captured vivid South Florida scenes for more than a century.

This narrated screening features a selection of rare and sometimes forgotten historical moments, captured on film and video and preserved by the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives.

The Natives of Dade was incorporated in 1986 by a group of local history enthusiasts born in Dade County. The groups merged on July 8, 2002.
