The Junior League Of Miami is launching the Herstory Festival with a March 29 screening on South Florida PBS of the award-winning Junior League film Our Miami, The Magic City written by Arva Moore Parks McCabe.
|
This award-winning historian will be honored posthumously with the dedication of The Arva Moore Parks McCabe Memorial Junior League of Miami Archive, a collection of photographs, films, newspaper articles, and filmed interviews that capture decades of stories of the League's female leaders. |
|

The program begins at 8pm with a live Virtual Talk-Back with the film’s Executive Producer, Julia Rea Bianchi, the film’s Associate Producers, Sarah Nesbitt Artecona and Alyce Robertson, and community leaders, followed by 9pm film airing on WPBT and WXEL.

The Miami Pioneers is Dade County’s legacy historical organization, originally founded in 1936 by prominent settlers and business leaders who arrived in Miami in the pioneer era before the year 1900. The Natives of Dade was incorporated in 1986 by a group of local history enthusiasts born in Dade County. The groups merged on July 8, 2002. |
