| Thank You One And All! The members of the Miami Pioneers and Natives of Dade are sending out a big Thank You to everyone involved in making our last meeting a big success.
|
Thanks to our guest speaker, Karon Grunwell Buckley, for a wonderful presentation on the Florida Pioneer Museum in Florida City, a former FEC Railroad Stationmaster House, donated and moved to it's present location back in the 60s. The museum is full of pioneer-era artifacts like telephones, washing machines, stoves, irons, tools and so many household objects.

Thanks to all our volunteer members who made the event run smoothly. It's great to see the camaraderie among members pitching in to help with refreshments, signing people in, greeting our new members and guests. Event though traffic was difficult due to the carnaval on the mile, we have a great group for the meeting.
|
MP/NOD president Robert Burr announced many fine meetings coming up in the near future with excellent speakers on topics of local history.

Thanks especially to John Allen and Malcolm Lauredo and their team at the Coral Gables Museum for their support and assistance in hosting our meetings at this fine location.

The Miami Pioneers and Natives of Dade invite all with an interest in local history to join us at the Coral Gables Museum community room on the first Sunday of each month (except July and August) from 2 to 4pm.
