Sunday, April 5 at 2pm Casey Piket's Lecture: Brickell's Point View Subdivision | | Point View in the Brickell neighborhood was an affluent subdivision located in Miami’s Gold Coast. Cultivated and platted by Locke T. Highleyman from 1912 into the early 1920s, the Point View subdivision was where the magnates of the Gilded Age chose to build their winter estates. In addition, it was the location that wealthy Miami pioneers built their homes and raised their families.
The lecture on Brickell’s Point View Subdivision will tell the story of the unique people and the ornate homes that were built in the heart of Miami’s Southside. It will include a slideshow of pictures that showcase the evolution and beauty of Miami’s forgotten residential area.
Please join Casey at the Coral Gables Museum on Sunday, April 5, 2020, from 2 to 3:30pm as part of the Miami Pioneers and Natives of Dade monthly meeting. You can RSVP by clicking on this link: RSVP - Get Free Ticket |
