Casey Piket's Lecture: Brickell's Point View Subdivision

Casey Piket - Brickell's Point View Subdivision
Point View in the Brickell neighborhood was an affluent subdivision located in Miami’s Gold Coast. Cultivated and platted by Locke T. Highleyman from 1912 into the early 1920s, the Point View subdivision was where the magnates of the Gilded Age chose to build their winter estates. In addition, it was the location that wealthy Miami pioneers built their homes and raised their families.

The lecture on Brickell’s Point View Subdivision will tell the story of the unique people and the ornate homes that were built in the heart of Miami’s Southside. It will include a slideshow of pictures that showcase the evolution and beauty of Miami’s forgotten residential area.

Please join Casey at the Coral Gables Museum on Sunday, April 5, 2020, from 2 to 3:30pm as part of the Miami Pioneers and Natives of Dade monthly meeting. You can RSVP by clicking on this link: RSVP - Get Free Ticket

Monthly Meetings at the Museum

The Miami Pioneers and Natives of Dade invite all with an interest in local history to join us at the Coral Gables Museum community room on the first Sunday of each month (except July and August) from 2 to 4pm.
Bring a Friend
As always, let's share the love of local history with family and friends. Bring a friend, a neighbor or a family member to the next meeting at the museum.

We're pleased that so many new friends and guests are joining us each month for our historical presentations.
Special Thanks to our friends at the Coral Gables Museum for hosting our monthly meetings. Thanks to all our members and friends who bring refreshments to share during social time. Thanks to everyone who makes a small donation in the "money jar" at the meetings to help with our expenses.
