You might have noticed it when looking at maps of the Redland region, Miami’s countryside. The name of Aladdin City is labeled on the area near SW 216 Street (Hanlin Mill Road) and SW 162 Avenue (Farm Life Road). This triangle section, bordered by these two main roads, as well as the railroad tracks, was a well planned suburb destined to be an ideal community back in the 1920s.
Join your fellow Miami Pioneers and Natives of Dade historical society members and friends for a presentation on the grand plans for Aladdin City, the company that could build a complete house in one day, and the fateful story of what happened to derail this well planned little suburb in the South Dade countryside.
