The Miami Pioneers and Natives of Dade historical society invites one and all to join us for a very special field trip — a visit to the Historic Palm Lodge and the Town Hall Museum in historic Homestead.

First, we meet at the historic Palm Lodge at 2pm for a delightful tour of this fully restored historical gem and learn all about Colonel Henry Wallace Johnston from Kentucky and his fruitful enterprise, with a taste of what life was like in this pioneer wilderness a century ago. The address is 17390 SW 296th Street, Homestead FL 33030.

Then, we journey to the fascinating Homestead Town Hall Museum, full of wonderful artifacts and exhibits from the last century, artfully organized and presented in the original location of town hall, in the heart of historic old Homestead. The address is 41 North Krome Ave, Homestead, FL 33030, across from the historic Seminole Theatre.

Mark your calendars now to be with us on Saturday, September 9.
