Annual Membership is $20

We welcome new members to the Miami Pioneers and Natives of Dade. Our group was founded by families that lived in Miami during the pioneer era of the 1800s and early 1900s, plus those that were born in Dade County. Membership is open to all persons that are interested in learning about, understanding, appreciating and preserving the history of South Florida.

Membership Restrictions are Eliminated

In the past, membership in the Miami Pioneers was limited to those who arrived in South Florida before 1900, and their descendants. At one time, the restriction changed to include those that arrived before the “Great Miami” hurricane of 1926. Likewise, membership in the Natives Of Dade was limited to those that could prove their birth in Dade County. There was a further restriction that members had to be at least 50 years old.

All of these membership restrictions have been eliminated. All you need now is an appreciation for local history and and an interest in the historical programs we present monthly.
